Why is no mither a perk? (2024)

We have temporarily disabled Firecrackers and the Flashbang Perk due to a bug which could cause the Killer's game to crash. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch when the issue is resolved.

Why is this even a perk, it does more harm to your team than good. I just played with a teammate running it. No surprise they got sacrificed first and put up an outstanding 9k point😭. Seems like every teammate in solo que that uses this perk gets eliminated quickly thus hurting the team. Everytime I load into a game and see someone immediately broken, I say “this game is over why did you bring that?” I’m all for nerfing dead hard but delete this perk for something else Lmao

If you ask me it's a fun perk to use

Makes you unsluggable which can put a dent into strategies and it's essentially hardcore survivor mode lol

    It's "hard mode" difficulty perk.

For people who want harder games, meme or want an injured build synergy with other perks.

It has a purpose. Small, sure, but still.

I have only seen no mither come in clutch only once in my games. All the other times it’s just them getting tunneled out because it’s an easy target lmao

I use it to practice survivor. It makes the killer chase you so that you do not need to find them and click at them while praying they actually commit.

When old object existed I did that with no mither to test out my chasing skills

It's a really fun perk to use. Unfortunately, the only upside of using it, never works because the killer knows you have it.

You're asking why a perk that counters Myers, Legion, Plague, Ghostface, Oni, Billy, Bubba, and a ton of usually overpowered addons is useless? For shame.

    (joke.)

It's a good perk if your a very good looper. Otherwise as stated I do see them go down first more often than not.

I honestly think that when a survivor is broken, that shouldn't be revealed to the killer in the killers HUD. An observant killer will see that a survivor starts injured and they should know not to slug them. But it also means that a non-observant killer may forget that a survivor has no mither midway through the game and get caught unawares from a self pick-up.

Give me an example of a case where a killer needs to know that a survivor is broken.

No Mither should be able to be used if your teammates approve of it via vote. Otherwise you are perma-banned from the game...no exceptions.

I just appreciate every David turning into Momma David whenever they run into a No-Mither David. It’s like, ‘Must Protecc’ mode is fierce. Sometimes I gotta kill all David’s before I can get the Broken One.

In principle the idea of a perk that has a big disadvantage but gives an even bigger advantage is fun. Hypothetically if the advantage you get for being permanently injured is strong enough No Mither would be fine. The problem is in practice it seems like the ability to stand up when dying isn’t strong enough to offset that downside. That’s not to say it never ever pays off, but the times it works are too uncommon compared to the amount of times always being downable in a single hit really hurts you.

Also someone mentioned above about “No Mither being bad for killers who slug”. While partially true note that the killer knows the survivor has No Mither because they can see how they’re broken from the very beginning of the match. So unless the killer isn’t paying attention to the survivor icons at all they’ll know they will need to hook the No Mither player instead of slugging them. And even with things like Boil Over and Sabo plays it’s hard to keep a killer from hooking someone if they just do it right after a down. (Obviously things like that and bodyblocking and flashlight can make it possible, but it’s still tricky to do so hook success rates are very high unless the killer messes up.)

So No Mither probably could use a buff, although I don’t have any particular ideas offhand on what the buff should be. I guess maybe you could give the No Mither player some bonus to action speeds? Or even give them a slight movement speed bonus, like they move +2% faster? Because getting up from dying is a already a decent effect I doubt No Mither needs a massive buff, just something else to augment the survivor a bit.

No Mither is "hard mode" for Survivors as already mentioned... and even more so in the current game

Plus it has synergy with other perks like: Resilience, Dead Hard, Desperate Measures, This Is Not Happening (highly underrated perk BTW)

Plus it denies Oni from getting blood... as already mentioned

But also No Mither counts toward Thanatophobia... so toss up on that one

Just had a Shirtless David running this perk last night. He carried the whole game on his back with his phenomenal gameplay. I had never seen such apex gameplay in my life. I erroneously mistook his god-level gameplay as hacks, but I only realized later that it was just pure talent and class I had the fortune to witness. Just absolutely refused to go down to any chase, and certainly not in the first 5 seconds.

Indeed those downs in 5 seconds or less are just excruciatingly painful to watch.

I love that no mither is a perk! I really appreciate when perks give players a variety of playstyles, niche as they can be. It is really refreshing to have people playing with a different challenge. It almost feels like a mini game mode. And that is good for the game, even if it doesn't feed into a current meta. Variety can increase enjoyment!

Maybe it was better at the time of release.

I like people's opinion in the comments for it being a "hardcore mode" perk.

No mither needs buff. Something like :

    • permanent injured / broken
    • +100% healing speed
    • +100% sabo speed
    • +100% unhooking speed
    • +100% crawling speed
    • +100% recovery, can recover while crawling, and can fully recover
    • No grunts of pain at all
    • No breathing sound at all
    • No blood at all
    • You can see the killer aura within 10 meters except if you are oblivious

    This would be fun !

No mither and DH should be merged into one. That would fix DH and give value to NM. Kill two stones with just one bird.
