M. Friends invited. Mr. Zorich was a WW veteran and recipient of the Silver Star. 415 C2 remained in charge of the company's Buffalo operation until 1938.

Then in 1940 Mr. Hoopis opened Wade's Restaurant at Main and Summer Sts. He closed it in 1960 when he retired. Mr. Hoopis, who helped found the Annunciation Hellenic Orthodox Church in 1907, also helped raise funds to build the first church in Oak He wrote the church's early history for its 50th anniversary celebration in 1962.

In addition, Mr. Hoopis was active in many Greek-American organizations, including the Order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) and the Pan Laconian Society. He also was a lifetime member of the Albany Consistory. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen C. Polemenakos, and a nephew, Demitrious Hoopis of Athens, Greece.

Samuel H. Gioia Macaroni Maker, Dies in Irving Samuel H. Gioia, 80, past vice president and director of Gioia Macaroni Co. Inc. of Buffalo, died today (Nov.

5, 1971) in the Lakeshore Intercommunity Hospital in Irving. Mr. Gioia, brother of the late Antonio who founded the firm in 1910 in Fredonia, came to Buffalo from his native Sicily with his parents about 1892.
