My new place

So if you are a reader of this blog you know I love to shop. I recently made the biggest purchase of my life when I bought my own apartment. It is a lovely 1 bedroom prewar co-op on the third floor in the prettiest neighborhood in Queens, NYC. I love the sunken living room, hardwood floors and the 15 min subway ride into Manhattan. Plus tree lined streets and Irish pubs on every corner.
So please excuse the slow down on the blog front these past few months. Instead of bag shopping I’ve been taking trips to Home Depot, and surfing around Bed & Bath and The Container Store.
Purchasing real estate in NYC is a painful drawn out tedious process that only works out in the end if you truly love the apartment. I was lucky to have the help of a wonder lawyer, real estate agent and mortgage broke.

Congratulations on the new home! My hubby and I are also in the planning stages of getting our first home sometime in the next 12-18 months, so I can completely understand your excitement. Hope you’ll keep us posted as you decorate!

Me too! My life has gone nuts since I started the move. I am renting my first apartment. (Weren’t you in Boston, too? Guess where I moved!! Ha ha! FLORIDA! Whoopee!)
Same here with the prepping the apartment. I need to take tons of boxes out to the garbage tomorrow. Things are crazy.
But as you can see I’m starting to come back to blogging. Phew! My effort in that is paying off, too.
Yeah, so sort of the same. My living room isn’t quite as fancy, ha ha!
No photos yet, I figure I’ll wait until my closet, etc., are complete. That’s the good stuff?

congratulations! the place looks very spacious and beautiful. it’s no easy task to buy a place, let alone in NYC (miss it, sniff sniff). eagerly awaiting news on your new bag purchases.
