Finally a unique bag
Posted on | January 26, 2006 | 7 Comments

I don’t know about you, but I like the idea of having a bag that is unique to me and me alone. One way to do this would be to start up my long dormant plan of sewing my own bags.
Or I could go with an easier option: Finally Stopped Dressing for the Boys, a line of femine, one of a kind bags made of old army bags. My favorite is Oragami because I like the combination of grommets, sillk and army fabric. Plus with three inner pockets it sounds downright useful.
Check out all four bags if you are looking for something a little different.

I just bought a special machine so that I could start sewing my own leather bags. It’s fun and I like having something that no one else can have. Plus it gives me an excuse to hoard all sorts of yummy leathers and hardware.

I was just at fabricmart.com and saw wonderful silk chiffon in several colors with line images of bags. I immediately thought of you – since I’ve enjoyed coming to your blog a few times.
Why not consider making yourself a scarf – or have some fun with sheer, simple bags?

Sorry, after I wrote my comment, I hadn’t offered a good url. Fabric Mart is at http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com My only connection with them is having spent waaayy too much money on their wonderful fabrics.
Now – back to bags! I’m enjoying your site. It has made me realize I’m more interested in bags than I ever knew!

Okay since handbags are like porn to some of us . Do you all remember when you first fell in love with the bag ?
My first handbag love was in 1987 it was at the Esprit outlet in San Francisco my first visit and I walked in and saw piles of Esprit totes, shoulder bags, coin purses, etc. and I almost died !
I was the only girl at my Jr. High with a different Esprit bag for all 20 days of school per month .
My mother saw the lust in my eyes and let me get one of anything and everything . The good old days ! : )
Did I just give away my age ? Oops ! : )

I’ve got an Amazon gift certificate burning holes in my pocket,
and I want to get the most bang for my buck.
Enter the Secret Amazon Web Pages:
http://tinyurl.com/38sojf
This is where you’re going to find the “latest sales, rebates, and limited-time offers” from
Amazon, and you can score some pretty deep discounts if you’re a savvy shopper.
Next, there’s the special Sale link. This is open every Friday, and ONLY on Fridays.
You can find the same good discounts here as you would in hidden Deals, although some
Fridays you can really get lucky and make off like an Amazon bandit – I’ve seen discounts
there as low as 75% off sticker price.
